Based on the example of the Somborska Dobra Bašta social enterprise, in 2018 a social enterprise was established according to the good model from Sombor in Sremska Mitrovica – the Mitrovacka Dobra Bašta. The business of the social enterprise Mitrovačka Dobra Bašta is focused on the production of fruit and vegetable products in a traditional way, without sugar or with a reduced amount of it, without flavors, additives and preservatives. The products that make up the Mitrovačka Dobra Bašta range are jams, juices, and porridges that are made according to household recipes with the application of quality control standards. The social mission of Mitrovačka Dobra Bašta SE is the fight for gender equality and women’s rights, through the employment of residents and former residents of the Safe House, women from local associations and members of socially vulnerable categories of the population.
Mitrovacka Dobra Bašta produces products from different varieties of fruits and vegetables: juices, ajvars, jams, and other spreads without preservatives, additives and aromas, without or with a reduced amount of sugar.
In addition to employment, networking, and direct support for strengthening the position of marginalized women, the social mission of Mitrovačka Dobra Bašta is reflected in the reinvestment of 50% of the profit from the sale of products in other programs of the founding organization Fond B92, the association “Good Association” and “Somborska Dobra Bašta”, aimed at education and training of the beneficiaries, in order to gain a further economically independent and competitive position on the labor market.
