From the establishment of the association Lužnica Handicrafts “Darovi Luznice” in 2012, through the launch of organic production in 2016, to the establishment of the first women’s agricultural cooperative in Serbia, the dynamic path of the establishment of the social enterprise “Darovi Lužnice” followed. The goal of the social enterprise is a wider range of support for community development: preservation of old crafts, assistance services for the oldest fellow citizens, organic production and empowerment of women in rural areas.
Darovi Luznice grows and produces fruit and vegetable products in a natural and healthy way, in the form of: ajvar, jams, juices, forest fruits and the like. They are most proud of the products that gourmands and gourmands enjoy the most: ajvar, strawberry jam, ljutenica, and homemade raspberry, blackberry, and cherry juices.
Darovi Luznice, as the first women’s cooperative in Serbia, primarily deals with the empowerment of women through work integration and education. However, in addition to the economic and social empowerment of women, Darovi Luznica deals with organic production, which encourages a healthy lifestyle and environmental protection. Finally, Darovi Luznice operates in the area of the municipality Babusnica and its surroundings, thereby contributing to the preservation of the local community and local economic development.
