Program for Young Social Entrepreneurs in the Western Balkans Launched

The Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) will enable more than 200 young people from the Western Balkans to develop their ideas for sustainable and innovative social businesses.

It is a three-year project that started on October 1, 2019 which is being implemented in the Western Balkans. The Smart Kolektiv, which is one of the founders and members of the Coalition, has been chosen to be one of the strategic partners that will contribute to the development of youth ideas in the field of social entrepreneurship. Through a rich program that includes a series of workshops, mobility programs between regional partners, and financial support, young social entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn, connect and develop their business, while solving social problems of their communities.

The program is aimed at young people from Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, and Kosovo*, and aims to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem of the Western Balkans and give youth the opportunity to develop innovative social solutions, contributing to reconciliation and cooperation in the region. The project promotes dialogue and cooperation between actors through the mobility of its participants, organization of regional trainings, workshops, and events, as well as trough creating a network of young social entrepreneurs.

An invitation to interested teams to apply will be issued in August!
